LinkedIn:  LinkedIn is the ultimate resource for online professional networking.  Connect with people and learn more about their backgrounds, their skills and, most importantly, who is recommending their work.  You can also join groups formed around issues of common interest, and you can demonstrate your expertise in an area by providing answers to questions from other members.  Most importantly for me, you can find what others think about me in the recommendations section.



Facebook:  there are some people that keep Facebook for the personal and LinkedIn for the business.  I am not one of those people, and I bring friends, clients and contacts alike together on my Facebook site.  Call it my "online clubhouse", if you will.  I combine postings relevant to my legal practice along with my sometimes snarky, always humorous commentary on topics such as sports, politics, and current events.  All viewpoints are welcome; just be prepared to defend your position once you stake it out.  It's all in good fun, of course.
